wizardA wizard is, literally, a wise person (from the 15th century Middle English wysard). The term came to refer to someone who claims to have supernatural knowledge or power, such as a sorcerer or one devoted to black magic. Today, the term is extended to refer to anyone who has a seemingly magical skill. |
